Meet #teamfrys … We are a puppy loving, cake decorating & blog making duo!
Edward is my adorable husband, the tall red-head you see in this picture, & the dream of my entire life. He is masterfully talented in the world of cake decorating (( see thesugarart.com )) & I couldn’t be more proud of him! He owns a food-coloring factory & continues to work fearlessly building his amazing brand in this world of sugar. Only the BEST cake masters use his product & they endorse him whole-heartedly. I love him. I love his passion, his silliness … but mostly his heart. This man would take the very shirt off his back to help another. I prayed very long & VERY HARD for this guy, turns out … my prayers worked. 😉
I’m Holly. The short girl you see in this picture. 😉 I love that my husband is 2-feet taller than me, I just think it makes us unique, & truly special. I’m a transplant Social Worker by day, & blogger by night. My dream is to write a memoir, showcasing the glory of God in my life. I was born with a pretty narly birth-defect, mostly identified as Spina bifida, but actually way more complicated than that. My condition is rare, with a little bony spur splitting my spine right down the middle … leaving me with no tail bone, & some serious nerve damage. By the G R A C E of God, I walk, drive, work & (for the most part) can care for myself. My journey has become more difficult in these past 2 years, but because God is sovereign, good & merciful – – – he brought me my husband, exactly when I would need him.
We are the PROUD parents of these two cutie pups you see here.
The silver one is Fancy, she is the quintessential PERFECT mini-schnauzer. She loves pink, shaking your hand & eating (we’ve had a special diet or 2 in the past 9 years). She turns 10 this summer, I seriously cannot believe it, & continues to bring us so much joy. We love her & are convinced she is the most perfect canine that ever lived.
Darla, on the other hand, is not. And it’s a DANG good thing she’s cute. Not yet 1 year old, Darla brings joy some moments, & absolute terror in others. She is a beagle (as you can see) & the MOST stubborn puppy I have ever met. I love her, but need her to be more like her sister. Yes, I realize she will probably need therapy for that statement… but, she is cute, fun & definitely keeps us on our toes.
So this is us. And I love “us.” We are happy, motivated & open to whatever God will bring. Our families are supportive, our friends cheer each winding path we take … & we count ourselves B L E S S E D in this life.
To God be the glory, great things He has done.
Sincerely, Holly
